Anniversaries are moments for reflection. A year later, we ask: what has shifted? Where is the momentum? And who is walking the road with Black communities, not just for them?
We've been sitting with Robert Small's cover art for this Strategy—"The Road Justice Walked On." A Sankofa bird reminds us: to move forward, we must "return and get it"—learn from history.
As equity consultants working alongside government, NGOs, and institutions, we see this anniversary as an invitation.
To legal organizations specifically:: The Strategy calls for anti-racism training, diversion programs, a Black court worker program, legislative reform. But plans don't implement themselves. Relationships do.
We bring relational accountability, grace, and presence—walking alongside institutions while staying grounded in community.
If your organization is ready to move from performative allyship to genuine partnership—let's walk the road together.
Not ahead. Not behind. Alongside.
